Cheltenham Science Festival
If you know your bosons from your nebulas, Cheltenham Science Festival is the place to be. Taking place over six days, from June 2nd to 7th , the festival showcases groundbreaking research and debates big questions across 165 events.
At Fosters seasonality and creating bespoke menus are what we love. So at this year’s Cheltenham Science Festival which ran from 2nd – 7th June, our head chef Mike from The Wilson Café, created a menu filled with fresh and seasonal produce that wowed over 2000 guests. All ingredients were sourced from five local suppliers all located within Gloucestershire and Hereford including the lovely Hobbs House bakery.

“When we started planning these menus we wanted to create a food offering which allowed the guests to get experiential with the food and the ingredients. We created a build-your-own offering which offered kebabs, tortillas and fajitas where all the raw ingredients could be selected by guests and then cooked right in front of them.”
“The perfect summer time accompaniment was the ‘strawberry shack’ where the fruits were sourced from a farm just ten minutes away.”
