Goldney Hall
Set
in ten acres of formal and wild gardens in the heart of
Clifton, the Orangery at Goldney Hall was built by the
Bristol merchant Thomas Goldney in 1714. With its air
of informal elegance, the Orangery is a graceful setting
for special occasions whatever the season.
The gardens at Goldney Hall were the main pride of Thomas
Goldney and are justly renowned. The garden boasts five
original follies, which include the Gothic Tower and the
remarkable Goldney Grotto, a subterranean caven lined
with shells, fossils and precious stones.
