Merchants Hall

The Merchants` Hall, which houses the magnificent suite of rooms used by the Society of Merchant Venturers for their meetings, receptions and banquets, can now be hired by outside organisations.
The Hall occupies a large Victorian mansion in Clifton, once described by John Betjeman as "the handsomest suburb in Europe". It provides a glittering and sumptuous venue, with an air of restrained quality, helping to make every event there a special occasion.
Situated beside the broad sweep of the Promenade facing out over Clifton Down the Hall is an imposing building, with the Society`s coat of arms set in its facade, standing well back from the road behind its own spacious car park. Canopied steps lead up to the main entrance.
