Privately owned Fosters Event Catering has developed a reputation for providing the highest standards of catering for both corporate and private clients. Sourcing only the finest and freshest local produce.

Brief History of Fosters

Fosters began its life in 1959 as wine merchants called ‘Howells of Bristol’. In 1961, the building of 16-17 Small Street was acquired and converted into a suite of private dining rooms.

In 1994 Fosters opened a very successful wine bar/brasserie was opened in the building and both continued until the lease expired in 2002

We have always had a great tradition of delivering excellent food and service. The first ‘outside’ contract was won in 1961, catering for lunches, dinners, banquets and Royal Occasions at the Merchants Hall in Bristol. We remain the Merchant caters to this day.

Fosters has flourished enormously from its humble beginnings. We have now extended our portfolio to operating day visitor restaurants, cafes and bars and also providing on-site catering as one of the preferred caterers of the BBC.
