Royal
Bath and West Showground
Dire Straits and Lulu have performed there in front of screaming crowds. Frank
Bruno and Prince Nazeem have fought there. Tommy Walsh and Charlie Dimmock are
regular celebrities at its gardening shows. Most members of the Royal Family
have graced it with their presence over the years.
And the chances are that you’ve probably been
there too! Whether you’re a gardening fan, or motorcycle
mad, an antiques collector or bird lover there’s
something for everyone happening all year round
at the Bath and West Showground.
The 240 acre Showground between Shepton Mallet
and Castle Cary on the A371 offers a venue so versatile
that it can be residence for a herd of show-stopping
dairy cows one day, and the next transformed into
a glittering food and drink show or a stage for
a superstar.
Complimenting its wide range of public attractions,
the venue – complete with its own excellent catering
facilities run by Fosters - is also popular for
private functions from weddings and 21st birthday
celebrations to dinners, balls and meetings, as
well as being home of the Royal Bath & West
of England Society.
Over one million visitors pass through the gates
of the south west’s biggest and best agricultural
and event centre each year. Make sure you know
what’s happening there now!
