Wedding Inspo: our top five Summer styling tips

Stunning floral displays for a Somerset wedding by Alastair Currie Events

Flowers have bloomed, the sun is still shining (some of the time) and the end of the summer wedding season is in sight.

With so many beautiful weddings taking place every week, the team here at Fosters have been as busy as ever. Catering for so many weddings means we get heaps of inspiration and we wanted to share some of what we’ve seen with you.

1. Bright and light
Dressing a room can make all the difference to ambience. Keep the room feeling bright and airy with lots of natural light and crisp white linen. Add a burst of colour with a few carefully chosen floral centre pieces to bring the room to life, such as at this stunning summer wedding in Bristol managed and designed by Alastair Currie Events.

With such a wide range of beautiful flowers to choose from, you don’t have to stop at table decorations. In keeping with your chosen colour theme, create a sense of the outdoors by adding floral touches around the venue. Whether it’s flowers to decorate the cake or simple green vines atop signs, these details will keep guests smiling, even if the British summer rain descends on your special day.

Bring a laid back, relaxed feel to your day with fun and interactive drinks stations. We love this ‘help yourself’ Beer Barrow along with a fresh and fruity drinks dispenser. Add colourful garnishes and bring incredible smells by adding your favourite sprigs of from the garden such as lavender, rosemary, mint or thyme.

3.14. Outdoor bar
The sun is shining, you’re sipping a gin and tonic, surrounded by friends and family. What’s not to love about these bright and colourful gin stations? Guests make a G&T to their exact liking with their favourite garnishes. The best part is, it’s super easy to replicate with rum, whisky, vodka, or whatever your tipple of choice may be.

Here at Fosters we’re all about the food and couldn’t finish a blog without talking about it. We’ve kept it bite size with these delicious mini cone fish & chip canapés. We love the idea of bringing a taste of summer at the seaside to your special day.

5.1This summer has been all about bright, crisp decorations and lots of ‘help yourself’, relaxed outdoor vibes with bursts of colours throughout. We can’t wait to see the great ideas and inspirations the winter wedding season offers.
