Welcome to Emily
We’re thrilled to welcome our new Junior Events Manager Emily! Emily has been with us for two years, completing her University placement at our Cheltenham branch, which gave her a brilliant all-round understanding of how to deliver the perfect event.
Her keen eye for detail and sparkling personality help her to excel as venue manager at The Orangery and she also manages private events at venues like The Great Tythe Barn and outside catering events.
Where does your foodie interest come from?
I really don’t know, I was an incredibly fussy child. But now I absolutely love trying new foods – especially desserts!
What first attracted you to Fosters?
I absolutely love that it’s like a family here – we all support each other. And our bespoke menus are absolutely amazing – we get a huge variety of requests and our chefs always go the extra mile to get the taste our clients want. For example, we recently offered a choice of lobster or burgers for a wedding enquiry!
What’s the best bit of your job?
Receiving lovely feedback from all of the brides and grooms, it really makes everything worthwhile! Last Saturday I was smothered in hugs and kisses from the bride – she was so happy with the event.
What are the biggest challenges?
I’m involved in planning the event from start to finish; everything from the logistics and loading vans to actually being the master of ceremony at weddings. It’s extremely varied so I’ve had to learn a lot. My next challenge is going to be driving the Luton which is quite a large van!
And the most memorable event you’ve catered at Fosters?
I worked at an incredible wedding in Cheltenham Town Hall where the groom was Greek and the bride was Indian. The coming together of such diverse traditions was an amazing thing to witness and be a part of!
