At Fosters we’re all about fresh, seasonal ingredients and well-sourced produce. We love working with couples on the run up to their big days, we LOVE food, and we love working with some of the best chefs in Bristol to help create the perfect day for you! As the wedding breakfast is such a big part of the wedding day then it needs to be spot on and we can help realise that!
Okay, so we enquire with Fosters…how does it all work?
Well, first of all you will speak to one of our sales team who will send over venue information and the all-important menus. These are just a starting point to get the ball rolling with ideas! Once you’ve seen the menus then we put together a quote for you so you can see what kind of figure you’re working with. Everyone has their own budget to work to so seeing the breakdown of everything can really help to get a grip on what you’re looking at.
Some clients love a recommendation on what works well, what’s on trend, what will make their wedding stand out from others, which we’re more than happy to guide & advise on. However, some clients come to us with a very clear idea of what they want and we love working to a good brief and being creative with our amazing chef team.
Sounds great! Can we try the food beforehand?
Absolutely! Our tasting sessions are a great opportunity to meet us and come and try some of our delicious food! Where possible it’s always best to try the food in the right season – usually that means about a year in advance – although we realise that this isn’t always possible! Photos are taken of each dish and all the tasting notes we make during the session will go in your event folder and accompany your final event sheet. It’s a great opportunity to talk to us about your wedding day in more detail. Why not try your wines so we can match them to the dishes?
We want you! What’s next?
So you loved the food and want to book with us. We’ll take a small deposit that secures our services for your big day. In the months that follow we’re on hand to help with the planning process; updating your menus, timings and dietary requirements – as and when necessary. About six weeks before your wedding we’ll get in touch to confirm all the finer details and it is around this point that we’ll introduce you to your fabulous Event Manager!
Who’s this then?
We have a team of great Event Managers who are responsible for making sure the actual day runs to perfection! We match your manager to you – personality wise and depending on their field of expertise! This tried and tested formula is proven to give every bride and groom complete confidence that they’re in the best hands and can relax and focus on enjoying their special day!
On the day you will also have a team of great waiting staff – these guys are brilliant and will make the day special, not only for you, but for your guests as well. Being based in Bristol & Cheltenham, we have lots of enthusiastic university students, most of whom are with us for at least three years meaning that they’re trained to the highest of standards.
So how does it all come together?
As the caterer we will oversee the running of the whole day and making sure that those all-important timings are stuck to! However, we’re not just caterers – we can ensure that all your finer details are covered too! We get it; you don’t trust the groom and his ‘men’ to put all your beautiful handmade favours & decorations out! Don’t worry, we can set this all up for you so you & your squad can enjoy getting ready over a glass or two of fizz. Likewise, if you don’t have someone that wants to take on the responsibility of being Master of Ceremonies – our Event Managers can do this for you too!
