The Brewin Dolphin Cricket Festival 2016

We were back at Cheltenham Cricket Festival, for the sixth year running. As always challenging ourselves with new exciting menus ten days in a row.

It’s not really summer until you’ve watched men and women dressed in cricket whites slogging a ball across a pitch. The Brewin Dolphin Cheltenham Cricket Festival is one of the biggest events in the Fosters calendar, taking place over ten days in July in the prestigious grounds of Cheltenham College.

Teamwork and team spirit is the order of the day at this event; both on the pitch and in our kitchen. Over the course of the event, we served over 2,000 covers, and on our biggest day, we prepared a feast for nearly 400 guests!

For this year’s Cricket Festival, we have a luxurious summer menu featuring the finest locally sourced ingredients. Our fillet of Beef Wellington with summer mushroom and tarragon duxelle in organic puff pastry carved in the room by the chef was a highlight, as well as the dessert of choux pastry gateau with praline.

And it wouldn’t be an English cricket match without afternoon tea; which we served with a selection of our own homemade cakes and clotted cream scones; delicious and quintessentially British. Until next year!
