Holly and Chris' Wedding

Holly and Chris first enquired in 2017 for their summer wedding in July of 2019. This was a marquee wedding for 110 at Holly’s parents home in Uley, Gloucestershire. Fosters team worked with the couple to help them realise their big daydreams under the brief of a ‘relaxed informal country wedding day.’ Holly's father even grew an entire meadow of wildflowers for the day! These gorgeous photos by Sally T, depict just how magical that day was and the work that went into it to create something unique and memorable.

what we did

Our Event Sales Manager helped the couple build their vision through advising on a marquee supplier, Abbas Marquees provided a relaxed feel marquee, rustic furniture and antique bar. Through a series of tasting sessions, we created a menu of plentiful canapes, lamb rump with sharing roasted potatoes on artisan crockery and platters of mini dessert bites to invite swapping, sharing and interaction!

We created some bespoke cocktail options for the drinks reception to reflect the country meadow setting and summery July day, a grapefruit spritz and a lime cooler. Fosters additionally supplied a full evening bar created around the bride’s favourite tipple gin and served wedding cake and bacon baps late into the evening to make sure all guests were well looked after the right to the end.

taking the stress out of your day

Our Event Sales Manager and the on-the-day Event Manager attended a site visit 4 weeks out from the event to meet with the couple again, introduce the on-the-day Event Manager and ‘walk the course.’ This was a great way for the couple to understand the flow of the day and for our Event Manager to recommend suggestions to optimise the guest experience.

Our Event Manager and Logistics Team commenced the built process the day before the wedding to ensure everything was set, in place and tested while creating a minimal disturbance on the day of the wedding itself. All required kitchen and back of house equipment was installed by our logistics team, gas connected, tested and compliance signage put in place. Our Event Manager set the front of the house and worked with the bride to ensure all detail was in place leaving her completely happy in the setup.

On the day our event team arrived for a full briefing and site walkthrough prior to guest arrival to ensure they knew the order of the day and all areas of the site. Throughout the day the event team kept the site looking immaculate and packed down as the event occurred to make sure that all appropriate kit was cleared down on the evening. Following the event, our logistics team returned to safety to collect kitchen equipment, gas and larger items the next day leaving the marquee clear for de-rig.
